Dubuz — Global Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 September 2026 Applies to: the Dubuz websites, including https://dubuz.com and our regional addresses, and the Dubuz mobile applications we publish.

These Terms are written to be used wherever Dubuz operates. They do not adopt any single country's law as the governing framework. Region-specific detail is kept in the Annex at the end.

1. These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and the operator of the Dubuz marketplace ("Dubuz", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of our websites — including https://dubuz.com and our regional addresses — and the Dubuz mobile applications we publish (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, posting content, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy (https://dubuz.com/privacy) explains how we handle personal data and forms part of our agreement with you. Our Platform Disclaimer and Safety page (https://dubuz.com/page/disclaimer, or the regional equivalent) is the safety framework for buying, selling and meeting other users, and should be read together with these Terms.

2. Who we are, and how to contact us

The Service is operated by:

Dubuz is a multi-region marketplace. The Service operates in more than one country, and some features — including which payment methods are available — vary by region.

3. What Dubuz is: an intermediary platform

Dubuz is a hosting and intermediary platform. We provide a place where people can publish listings and contact each other. We are not:

  • the seller or the buyer in any transaction between users;
  • the employer or the candidate in any recruitment;
  • an agent of either side of a transaction; and
  • a party to any agreement you make with another user.

Listings and messages are created by users. Thousands of items are posted every day and we cannot review every listing at the moment it is published. We therefore do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, lawful, safe, available, of satisfactory quality, or that a seller or buyer is who they claim to be. We do not verify every user; where a user is shown as verified, that means we reviewed the documents they submitted at that time, and it is not a guarantee of their honesty, solvency or the quality of what they offer.

What we do provide, in the same breath as that limitation, is a way to act on it. You can report a listing or a reel from the item itself (web and app), and you can contact support@dubuz.com about a user or an account. We review reports and may remove content, expire listings, or suspend or close accounts. This reporting-and-removal path is what makes us an intermediary rather than a silent host, and it is central to how this Service works. Section 13 explains our moderation powers.

4. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to open an account and use the Service.
  • By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not verify age against identity documents, and we cannot guarantee that every user is the age they declare.
  • If we become aware that a person under 18 has an account, we will take steps to close it and delete the associated data.
  • If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business to these Terms.
  • You must not use the Service if you have previously been removed from it, or if using it would break any law that applies to you.

5. Your account

  • Accurate information. You must give accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
  • Security. You are responsible for keeping your password and devices secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@dubuz.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
  • One person, one account. Do not create accounts to evade a suspension, to manipulate listings, reviews or rankings, or to obtain offers or promotions more than once.
  • Business accounts. Business profiles must be operated by the business they represent. Verification is optional, but if you request it we may review documents you upload and may decline or withdraw verification.
  • Staff accounts cannot be self-deleted.
  • You can close and delete your account at any time — see section 14.

6. Posting listings and content

You are responsible for everything you post, including listings, photos, videos, reels, stories, messages, CVs, reviews and comments.

You must ensure that:

  • your listing is accurate and not misleading — including the condition, price, currency, and the location of the item or job;
  • you have the right to sell or advertise what you post, and to use any images and text you upload;
  • you do not include other people's personal data — such as their phone number, address, ID or photos — without their permission;
  • you place the item in the correct category and do not post the same item repeatedly;
  • you comply with all laws that apply to your listing, including consumer, advertising, employment and tax rules.

7. Prohibited items and content

You must not post, offer, request, or promote:

  • anything illegal, or that facilitates illegal activity;
  • weapons, ammunition, explosives, or items intended to cause harm;
  • drugs, controlled substances, or prescription medicines;
  • live animals where their sale is restricted, and protected or endangered species, or products derived from them (including items covered by international wildlife-trade rules such as CITES);
  • human organs, tissue, blood, or human remains;
  • stolen goods, or goods you do not have the right to sell;
  • counterfeit or pirated goods, or items that infringe anyone's intellectual property;
  • official documents, identities, qualifications, or currency that are forged or falsified;
  • hacking tools, malware, or anything used to gain unauthorised access;
  • surveillance or interception equipment used to invade privacy;
  • personal or financial data of other people, including databases, card numbers and account credentials;
  • sexual content involving minors, in any form — this is a zero-tolerance matter and will be reported;
  • commercial sexual services, or escort and adult services where they are unlawful;
  • gambling services where they are not licensed or are unlawful;
  • chain letters, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or get-rich-quick offers;
  • tobacco, alcohol, or pharmaceuticals where their sale is restricted;
  • anything that harasses, threatens, defames, or discriminates against a person or group;
  • spam, or content that is deliberately deceptive, such as fake reviews or misrepresented businesses.

We may apply additional restrictions in a specific region or category where local law requires. Reported listings and reels are reviewed and removed where they break these rules — see section 13 and our Platform Disclaimer and Safety page for how to report.

8. Messaging, jobs and CVs

  • Do not use messaging to send spam, threats, harassment, fraud, or unsolicited advertising.
  • Messages are for genuine marketplace contact. We may review messages where a report, a safety concern, or the law requires it — see our Privacy Policy.
  • Job listings must be real, lawful opportunities. You must not charge candidates a fee to apply, or post a job to collect CVs or personal data without a genuine vacancy.
  • CVs and applications. If you upload a CV or apply for a job, you are sharing that information with the employer or lister you contact. Employers must use applications only for recruitment, must keep them secure, and must not share them onward.
  • When you message a lister without an account, we store the details you type in, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Reels and stories

You may post short videos and stories. They are subject to the same rules as any other content, and in addition: do not post content you do not own or have the right to use, including music; do not post content that is sexual, violent, hateful, or misleading; and do not impersonate another person or business. Reels and stories expire automatically after the period configured by our administrators.

10. Paid services

Some features are paid — for example, promoting a listing, featuring an ad, or subscribing to a package.

  • Prices and availability vary by region and may change. The price that applies is the one shown to you when you complete the purchase.
  • Payment providers. Payments are processed by third-party providers, which may include PayPal, Stripe, Ziina, JazzCash or EasyPaisa, depending on your region. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. We do not store your full card number or card security code — card details are entered on the provider's systems.
  • What you are buying. A promotion or feature buys visibility for a period. It does not guarantee views, clicks, responses, sales, or a particular position in search results, and it does not exempt your listing from these Terms.
  • Refunds. Fees for services already delivered are generally non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or where we cancel the service without providing it. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@dubuz.com. Where the law that applies to you gives you a stronger refund right, that right applies.
  • Failed or abandoned payments. If a payment does not complete, a listing may remain unpublished until payment is made or you choose to publish it without a paid promotion. You can always publish a standard listing without a promotion.
  • Taxes. You are responsible for any tax that applies to your own listings and sales. We are responsible for taxes on our own fees.
  • Chargebacks and abuse. We may suspend accounts involved in fraudulent payments, chargebacks made in bad faith, or repeated abuse of refunds or promotions.

11. Our rights to your content

  • You keep ownership of the content you post. These Terms do not take your rights away.
  • You grant us a licence to host, store, copy, display, transmit, resize, format, index and distribute your content — and to use it to promote the Service — for as long as it is posted and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups and legal records. This licence is worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and covers the technical steps needed to run and market the Service.
  • You confirm that you own your content or have permission to use it, and that it does not break anyone's rights.
  • Our content. The Dubuz name, logo, design, software and the layout of the Service belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer them, except as the law allows or as we agree in writing.
  • Feedback you send us may be used without restriction or payment.

12. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break any law, or help anyone else to;
  • post prohibited content, or content you have no right to post;
  • use bots, scrapers, crawlers or automated tools to access or copy the Service, or to place listings, except with our written permission;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, or place an unreasonable load on it;
  • bypass, remove or evade fees, limits, verification, or moderation;
  • collect other users' personal data, or use the Service to send unsolicited messages;
  • misrepresent who you are, or impersonate anyone;
  • manipulate reviews, ratings, rankings or reported figures;
  • use the Service to distribute malware or malicious links.

13. Moderation, suspension and repeat infringers

  • Moderation. We may review, edit for formatting, refuse, hide, or remove any content, and may expire a listing, if we believe it breaks these Terms or the law. Where we can, we will tell you why.
  • Reports. You can report a listing or a reel from the item itself on web and in the app, and you can contact support@dubuz.com about a user or account. Reports go to our moderation team.
  • Suspension and termination. We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently or to harm others. We may also suspend accounts for non-payment of fees.
  • Repeat infringers. We may suspend or close the account of a user who repeatedly posts prohibited content, repeatedly infringes other people's rights, or repeatedly uses the Service to defraud or harm others. Repeated serious breaches are grounds for permanent removal.
  • Appeals. If your account is suspended, you can contact support@dubuz.com to ask for a review.
  • Your right to stop. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
  • What survives. Sections that by their nature should continue — including content licences for shared material, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnities and governing law — continue after the agreement ends.

14. Deleting your account

You can close and delete your account in the ways set out in our Privacy Policy:

  • Website: sign in, open your account dashboard, choose Delete Account, enter your password and confirm.
  • Mobile app: open the Account tab, go to Settings, choose Delete Account and confirm with your password.
  • If you can no longer sign in: use https://dubuz.com/delete-account. You do not need to sign in, and this route also covers accounts created with Google or another provider that have no password.

Closing an account deactivates it and hides your profile and listings. Permanent erasure, what is removed, and what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons are described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Safety when buying, selling, meeting and paying

Dubuz is a platform, not a party to your transaction. Before you contact someone, and before you pay or exchange anything, please follow the safety guidance in our Platform Disclaimer and Safety page. In short:

  • Check the item and the person before you act. Inspect goods, verify ownership papers where relevant, and do not rely on a photo or a description alone.
  • Meet in a public place for handovers, or another safe, well-lit, public location, and tell someone where you are going.
  • Do not send money in advance to someone you have not met and do not trust. Prefer in-person handovers over advance transfers.
  • Never share one-time codes, passwords, card security codes or full card numbers.
  • If something feels wrong, stop, and report the listing or contact support@dubuz.com.

In our apps and on our websites we are adding a short version of this guidance at the two moments it matters most — before a chat starts and before a transaction or offer — so that the warning reaches you in context. Section 3 and the Platform Disclaimer and Safety page explain how to report anything that breaches these Terms.

16. Third-party services and links

The Service includes services and links provided by other organisations — such as payment providers, Google sign-in, maps, reCAPTCHA, advertising, and any website a user links to. Those are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. Listings and messages come from users, and we do not control them; see section 3 for how to report them.

This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com

17. Disclaimers

  • We are a platform, not a party to your transactions. Dubuz hosts listings and connects people. We are not the seller, the buyer, the employer or the candidate, and we are not involved in any agreement you make with another user.
  • We do not verify users. Verification is optional, and a verified badge means we reviewed the documents submitted to us at that time — it is not a guarantee of a person's or business's honesty, solvency, or the quality of what they offer.
  • Use caution. Meet in safe public places, inspect goods before paying, and never send money to someone you do not trust.
  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that content is accurate or complete. We may change, suspend or discontinue features.
  • No professional advice. Nothing on the Service is legal, financial, tax, or safety advice.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the law that applies to you:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity.
  • We are not liable for the conduct of users, for the content they post, for any transaction between users, or for a third-party service's acts or omissions.
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum amount required by the law that applies to you.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any of your mandatory rights as a consumer. If you are a consumer, you keep all protections given to you by the law of the country you live in.

19. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Dubuz and its officers, employees and agents against claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from: your content; your use of the Service; your breach of these Terms or of any law; or your infringement of another person's rights.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will publish the new version with a new "Last updated" date, and where a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections and any non-waivable rights available to you in your country of residence.

Where the law that applies to you gives you the right to bring a claim, or to have a dispute heard, in the courts of the country where you live, you keep that right. Nothing in this section prevents either of us from seeking relief in any court that has jurisdiction.

Before starting proceedings, please contact support@dubuz.com so we can try to resolve the matter.

22. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Platform Disclaimer and Safety page, and any terms shown when you buy a paid feature, are the whole agreement between us on this subject.
  • Severability. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision once, that does not mean we give it up.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to an affiliate or to a successor, for example if the business is sold.
  • Language. The English version of these Terms governs.
  • No third-party rights. No one other than you and us can enforce these Terms.
  • Statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms reduces rights you have under the law of the country you live in, including your data-protection rights under our Privacy Policy.

23. Contact

Annex — regional notes (to be completed as we expand)

This annex is where region-specific detail is recorded. Naming a region here does not make its law the governing framework of the whole agreement.

  • United Arab Emirates (including DIFC and ADGM): any mandatory local consumer or e-commerce requirements, the correct complaint route, and any local representative to be confirmed and recorded here.
  • Pakistan: local consumer-protection and cybercrime routes, to be confirmed and recorded here.
  • European Union / European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: where mandatory consumer law applies to you, you keep those rights, including any right to sue in your local courts; consumer-facing pre-contract information will be recorded here where required.
  • California and other United States states: mandatory state consumer and privacy rights that cannot be waived are preserved by section 18 and our Privacy Policy.
  • Other regions: add the local mandatory wording, regulator and representative here before publishing in that region.

These Terms are a policy, not legal advice. Before publishing in a specific country, confirm that country's mandatory consumer, e-commerce and liability wording with qualified counsel there.
