Perguntas frequentes
Effective date: 22 September 2026 Last updated: 22 September 2026 Applies to: Dubuz websites (including https://dubuz.com and our regional domains) and the Dubuz mobile applications we publish.
These answers describe how Dubuz works today. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, which take priority if anything here is inconsistent with them.
1. Getting started
Do I need an account to use Dubuz? You can browse listings and view businesses without an account. You need an account to post a listing, save items, follow a search, message another user, apply for a job, or run a business profile. Some forms also let you contact a lister as a guest, in which case we store the name, email address and phone number you type in.
What does it cost to post an ad? Posting a standard listing is free. You do not have to buy anything to publish. Promotion and business packages are optional extras — see section 3.
How old do I have to be? Dubuz is an 18+ service. You must be 18 years of age or older to open an account and use Dubuz, and by using Dubuz you confirm that you meet this requirement. This is a self-declared condition of use, not identity verification: we do not check your declared date of birth against identity documents, and it is not proof of your true age. If we become aware that a person under 18 has an account, we will take steps to close it and delete the associated data.
How do I post an ad? Sign in, choose Post Ad, pick the category that fits your item or job, add a title, description, price and photos, set the location, and publish. New listings go live immediately unless our administrators have switched on listing approval, in which case yours is reviewed first.
2. Posting and managing ads
How long does my listing stay live? A standard listing expires after about 60 days by default. Our administrators set that period and can change it. Expiry is a status change, not deletion: the listing stops being active, but its details and photos are not deleted. You can repost or renew an expired listing, subject to your plan's active-listing limit.
How many ads can I have at once? On the default Free package you can keep up to 10 active listings at a time. A Business package raises that to 30. Both limits are configurable by our administrators. Once a listing is marked as sold or deleted, that slot becomes available again straight away.
How many photos can I add? The default allowances are 3 photos per listing on the Free package, 10 on a Plus-boosted listing, and 15 on a Business package. Our administrators can change these.
Can I edit or delete my listing? Yes. Open your account dashboard, find the listing under your active or expired listings, and edit or delete it. Deleting a listing removes it from the marketplace.
Can I mark something as sold? Yes. Mark the listing as sold from your dashboard and it stops appearing as an active listing, freeing the slot for a new ad.
Why was my ad removed or hidden? We may review, edit for formatting, refuse, hide or remove any content, and may expire a listing, if we believe it breaks our Terms of Use or the law. Where we can, we tell you why. Common reasons include prohibited items, misleading details, duplicate postings, or content that belongs to someone else. If you believe a decision was wrong, contact support@dubuz.com.
3. Payments and promotions
Which payment methods can I use? Depending on your region, checkout may offer Ziina, Stripe (debit and credit cards), PayPal, JazzCash and EasyPaisa. Each method is enabled per country by our administrators, so the options you see depend on where you are and may change.
Is my card safe, and do you store my card number? Card details are entered on the payment provider's own systems. We do not store your full card number or your card security code. Where a provider returns them, we may store limited details such as the card brand, card type and the last four digits so you can identify a payment.
What is the difference between a promotion and a business package? A promotion is a one-off boost for a single listing. A business package is a subscription plan for a business account that runs for a subscription period and gives higher limits and business tools.
What do promotions and featured ads actually do? A promotion places your listing in a more prominent position for the period you purchased. As shipped, the Plus per-ad boost pins one listing to the top of its category and search results, adds Featured and Urgent badges, allows more photos on that listing, and removes sponsor banners from that listing page.
Do promotions guarantee sales? No. A promotion buys visibility for a period. It does not guarantee views, clicks, responses, enquiries, sales, or a particular position in search results. It also does not exempt your listing from our Terms of Use, and it does not extend the listing's own lifetime.
What happens if my payment fails? A failed or abandoned payment does not delete your listing. The listing stays unpublished until the payment completes or you choose to publish it without the paid promotion. You can always publish a standard listing for free.
Can I get a refund? Fees for services already delivered are generally non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or where we cancel the service without providing it. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@dubuz.com.
What currency will I be charged in? The platform default currency is AED, and packages are priced in it. Dubuz serves several regions and supports several currencies, so the currency you are shown depends on your region. A provider may convert the amount during checkout — for example, PayPal payments are converted from AED to USD and our mobile wallets JazzCash and EasyPaisa transact in PKR. The amount shown at checkout is the amount that applies.
4. Account and verification
Is verification required? No. Verification is optional for both personal and business accounts. You can use Dubuz without requesting it.
How do I get verified? From your account settings you can submit the documents the review team needs — for a business, typically a trade licence and proof of address, and where applicable a personal ID or passport. You can also be asked for the document expiry date. The team reviews what you submit and may approve or decline it.
Are my verification documents public? No. Verification documents are internal-use only. They are used by our review team to verify you or your business, and they are not published, listed, searchable, or otherwise made available to other users or the general public. The same applies to CVs, application documents and message attachments.
Do I need more than one account? No. One person, one account. Do not create accounts to evade a suspension, to manipulate listings, reviews or rankings, or to take offers or promotions more than once.
How should I look after my account? Keep your password and devices secure, and tell us promptly at support@dubuz.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.
5. Reels and stories
What are reels and stories? They are short videos and stories you can post to the marketplace feed. They follow the same content rules as any other post, and you must own or have permission to use everything in them, including music.
How long do reels and stories last? A reel or story appears in the feed briefly and is then kept in your account for a short retention window. As shipped, that window is about 3 days after posting, and our administrators can set it between 1 and 90 days. When the window ends, the reel and its media files are deleted automatically.
6. Safety and reporting
How do I report a bad listing or a reel? Open the listing or reel and use the report option, then choose the reason that fits and add any detail that helps. Reports go to our moderation team. If your concern is about a user or an account rather than a single post, contact support@dubuz.com.
What is not allowed on Dubuz? Our Terms of Use list the prohibited items and content, which include anything illegal, weapons, drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods, human remains, forged documents, hacking tools, other people's personal or financial data, sexual content involving minors, unlicensed gambling, and content that harasses or discriminates. Sexual content involving minors is a zero-tolerance matter and will be reported.
How do I stay safe when buying and selling? Dubuz is a platform, not a party to your transaction. Meet in safe public places, inspect goods before paying, and never send money to someone you do not trust. We do not verify users, and a verified badge means we reviewed the documents submitted to us at that time — it is not a guarantee of honesty or quality.
Why was my account suspended, and how do I appeal? We may suspend or terminate an account if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, if the law requires it, or if we reasonably believe the account is being used fraudulently or to harm others. We may also suspend accounts for non-payment of fees. If your account is suspended, contact support@dubuz.com to ask for a review.
7. Privacy and data
What data do you collect? We collect the data needed to run the service — account and profile details, listing and message content, payment records, device and session data, and usage records such as page views and recommendations. Our Privacy Policy explains every category, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.
Do you sell my data? No. We do not sell your personal data.
How do I delete my account? There are two routes.
- If you can still sign in: on the website, open your account dashboard, choose Delete Account, enter your password and confirm. In the mobile app, open the Account tab, go to Settings, choose Delete Account and confirm with your password.
- If you can no longer sign in: use https://dubuz.com/delete-account. You do not need to sign in, and this route also covers accounts created with Google or another provider that have no password. We verify that the account belongs to you before erasing it, and we never act on a request we cannot verify.
What happens to my data when I delete my account? Deleting your account closes and deactivates it immediately and signs you out of all sessions, so your profile and listings are hidden from other users. Permanent erasure happens on request, and it is not instant and not total. When an account is erased we remove your profile details, linked sign-in identifiers, business profile details, your listings and their media, reviews, reactions, comments and shares, saved listings and searches, CVs and job applications, verification documents, notifications and device tokens, and the payment records linked to you.
Some records may remain:
- Closed but not yet erased. The account record is kept in a closed state until erasure is completed. If you want the records erased too, use the request route as well, not only the sign-in route.
- Legal, accounting and anti-abuse records. Where the law requires it, we keep the minimum necessary records, for example tax and accounting records and information needed to prevent fraud or enforce our Terms.
- Records with your account reference removed. Some records may remain with the link to your account removed — for example audit and activity records, message records, listing reports, and offers. Message content, and any guest contact details typed into a message, may be retained.
- Analytics and backups. Our internal analytics records use an internal numeric account reference rather than your name or contact details. Disaster-recovery backups may still contain a copy of deleted data for a limited period, and are not used for any other purpose.
- Aggregated statistics. Anonymous aggregated figures that no longer identify you may be kept.
Can I get a copy of my data? Yes. You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. There is no self-service export at present; requests are handled by our team. While your account is active you can export a CV you created from your account. Email support@dubuz.com to make a request.
