1. How pricing works on Dubuz

  • Using Dubuz is free. Browsing, creating an account, messaging, and publishing a standard listing do not cost anything.
  • There are two different kinds of paid product. A listing promotion is a one-off boost bought for a single listing. A business package is a plan for a business account that runs for a subscription period. They are not the same thing and are not interchangeable.
  • Prices and availability vary by region and may change. Dubuz is a multi-region marketplace, and which products and payment methods are available depends on your country. The price that applies is the one shown to you when you complete the purchase.
  • The figures on this page are the platform defaults. Every amount, duration and limit is configurable by our administrators. Where an amount exists only in the admin panel and has no default in the platform, we say so rather than state a number.
  • You never have to pay to publish. Where a paid option is unavailable, or a payment does not complete, you can still publish a standard listing without a promotion.

2. The free tier

  • Registration is free. You must be 18 or over to open an account and use Dubuz.
  • Posting a standard listing is free, including photos, messaging and phone contact, subject to the listing rules in our Terms of Use.
  • The default Free package includes: up to 10 active listings at a time, a photo allowance per listing (3 on the Free package as shipped), and a limited standard lifetime for each listing. Our administrators can change these limits.
  • Free listings are ad-supported. Your listing page may display sponsor banners from our advertising partners. Paid tiers remove those banners from your own listing page.
  • Free listings appear in the standard search feed. They are sorted organically and are not pinned, unless you buy a promotion or use a boost.
  • A free boost is sometimes available. Where administrators have enabled it, you can watch a short advertisement to give a listing a temporary premium boost (7 days as shipped) without paying. Availability varies by region and can change.

3. Listing promotions (one-off)

A listing promotion is a single purchase for a single listing. It buys visibility for a fixed period; it is not a subscription.

  • One listing at a time. A promotion applies to the listing you choose. A listing that already holds an active paid boost cannot be boosted again, so you are never charged twice for the same active promotion.
  • After the featured window. When the featured window ends, the listing returns to the standard feed and stays live until its normal expiry (section 7).
  • Included with a business package. Business subscribers receive a number of featured slots at no extra charge (section 4). Use those before buying a separate boost.
  • Availability. Promotions require at least one active payment method for your country. If none is available, you can still publish a standard listing for free.

4. Business packages and subscriptions

A business package is a plan for a business account. It runs for a subscription period and gives you higher limits and business tools. It is renewed for a further period when you choose to renew.

  • Business adds business tools, including a business badge, a public storefront page with its own address, a direct WhatsApp contact button, and ad-free listing pages.
  • Featured slots are included, not charged extra. You choose which of your active listings hold a featured slot, and you can move a slot to a different listing when an item sells.
  • Subscription periods. A Business plan covers its subscription period (30 days as shipped). When it ends, the account returns to the Free limits unless you renew.
  • Trial periods. Where a free business trial is offered, its length is set by our administrators and is shown to you before you start it.

5. Currencies, regions and availability

  • The platform default currency is AED. Packages are priced in AED as shipped. Dubuz operates in more than one region and supports more than one currency, and the currency you see is selected from your region.
  • Regional amounts. There is no fixed per-country price table in the platform. Regional pricing and currency display are configured by our administrators in the admin panel, and payment providers may convert the amount during checkout. The amount shown to you at checkout is the amount that applies.
  • Payment methods vary by country. Not every provider in section 8 is available in every region, and a provider may be enabled in one country and not another.
  • Availability may change. Products, prices and payment methods can be added, changed or withdrawn at any time, including for a single region.

6. What a promotion does and does not guarantee

This section matches section 8 of our Terms of Use.

  • What you are buying is visibility for a period. A promotion places your listing in a more prominent position for the featured window you purchased.
  • It does not guarantee results. A promotion does not guarantee views, clicks, responses, enquiries, sales, or a particular position in search results. Search positions are dynamic and depend on many factors, including how other listings are promoted at the same time.
  • It does not exempt your listing from the rules. A promoted listing is subject to the same Terms of Use, moderation and category rules as any other listing.
  • It does not extend the listing's own lifetime. The listing keeps its normal expiry unless it is reposted or renewed.

7. Listing lifetime and expiry

  • A standard listing expires after about 60 days by default. This period is set by our administrators and can be changed.
  • Expiry is a status change, not deletion. When a listing expires, it is marked as expired and stops appearing as an active listing. Its details and photos are not deleted by expiry.
  • You can repost or renew an expired listing, subject to the listing rules and to the active-listing limits of your plan.
  • Promotions are shorter than the listing lifetime. A featured window is separate from the listing's own expiry, so a promoted listing that is still live will drop back to the standard feed once the featured window ends.

8. Payments

  • Providers we have integrated. Depending on your region, checkout may offer Ziina, Stripe (debit and credit cards), PayPal, JazzCash and EasyPaisa. Each provider is enabled or disabled per country by our administrators, so the methods you see depend on where you are.
  • Card data is handled by the provider. Card details are entered on the payment provider's systems. We do not store your full card number or your card security code. Where a provider returns them, we may store limited details such as the card brand, card type and the last four digits, so that you can identify a payment.
  • Currency conversion. A provider may charge you in its own settlement currency. For example, PayPal payments are converted from AED to USD using our configured rate, and the mobile wallets JazzCash and EasyPaisa transact in PKR.
  • Failed or abandoned payments do not delete your listing. If a payment does not complete, the listing remains unpublished until the payment is made or you choose to publish it without the paid promotion. You can always publish a standard listing without a promotion.
  • Refunds follow our Terms. Fees for services already delivered are generally non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or where we cancel the service without providing it. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@dubuz.com.
  • Chargebacks and abuse. We may suspend accounts involved in fraudulent payments, chargebacks made in bad faith, or repeated abuse of refunds or promotions.

9. Taxes

  • Your listings and sales are your responsibility. You are responsible for any tax that applies to your own listings and sales, including any tax you must charge or declare in your region.
  • Our fees are our responsibility. We are responsible for taxes on our own fees. Where tax must be added to a price, the amount shown at checkout includes what is due.

10. Changes to prices

We may change our prices, products and the limits of any plan. Changes apply to new purchases from the date they take effect and do not change a purchase you have already completed for its period. Where a change is material, we will present it on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
